Pakistan and Iran to Enhance Cooperation in Cyber-Security and Counterterrorism

Islamabad: Pakistan and Iran have reached an agreement to enhance their collaboration in several critical areas, including security, counterterrorism, cyber-security, and immigration. This decision was made during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two ministers included a review of Pakistan-Iran relations and an analysis of the latest regional developments. During the meeting, Momeni expressed gratitude for the warm reception given to the Iranian president and his delegation during their visit to Pakistan.

Naqvi congratulated Momeni on the joint declaration issued in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, acknowledging that the agreement was the result of sincere efforts by the Iranian government and its leadership. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to global peace and stability, emphasizing the country’s dedication to promoting lasting peace in the Middle East.
