Islamabad: In a strategic effort to strengthen the nation’s anti-corruption framework, the Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy (PACA) and the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Balochistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This partnership, inspired by the vision of Chairman NAB, Lt Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed, focuses on institutional capacity building and professional training.
According to Press Information Department, the agreement was signed by Mr. Ghulam Safdar Shah, Director General of PACA, and Mr. Naseebullah Kakar, Director General of ACE Balochistan. The MoU outlines cooperation in areas such as specialized training for ACE Balochistan officers, sharing best practices in financial crime investigation, and using modern forensic tools.
After the signing, DG ACE Balochistan toured PACA’s facilities, including the Forensic Science Laboratory, lecture rooms, and library. He expressed interest in using PACA’s expertise to enhance his department’s effectiveness.
DG PACA Mr. Ghulam Safdar Shah emphasized the Academy’s commitment to building investigators’ capacity through programs addressing financial crime challenges. He highlighted the Academy’s willingness to extend resources to provincial counterparts.
DG ACE Balochistan, Mr. Naseebullah Kakar, praised PACA’s training environment and stressed the importance of continuous professional development in anti-corruption efforts. This collaboration aims to upgrade skills of officers in Balochistan, initiating joint initiatives to equip law enforcement personnel with necessary forensic and legal expertise.
