National Assembly Speaker Emphasizes Role of Democratic Institutions in Pakistan’s Stability


Karachi: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the vital role of democratic institutions in maintaining national stability and fostering development, underscoring the importance of the Constitution, the rule of law, and parliamentary traditions in ensuring public prosperity.



According to Radio Pakistan, Sadiq delivered these remarks in a message commemorating the 79th anniversary of the Constituent Assembly’s establishment. He highlighted the Constituent Assembly’s formation as a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s history, marking the foundation of the country’s constitutional and democratic framework.



Sadiq noted that the inaugural session of the Constituent Assembly on August 10, 1947, in Karachi was a testament to the democratic ideals envisioned by Pakistan’s founding fathers. He reiterated that robust democratic institutions and a functional parliament are essential for the nation’s stability and progress.
