ISLAMABAD: The Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad, as part of ongoing discussions on regional issues and cooperative initiatives. The meeting was attended by key figures including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and members of the National Assembly, highlighting the significance of the discussions.
According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Dr. Al-Issa for his involvement in the OIC Ministerial Conference on Women and recognized the Muslim World League’s role in promoting a moderate image of Islam. The discussions underscored the importance of religious dialogue in addressing challenges faced by the Muslim world, such as the regional dynamics concerning Iran and Gulf states, and the situation in Gaza. Dr. Al-Issa praised Pakistan’s leadership in regional peace efforts and reaffirmed the League’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Pakistan in religious, educational, and humanitarian areas. The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to maintain close coordination on shared priorities and ongoing projects.
