Karachi: Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has emphasized the critical role of the energy sector in bolstering Pakistan’s economy. Addressing the 2nd Sindh Energy Diversity Conference in Karachi, Sheikh highlighted the potential of prioritizing energy to drive industrial expansion, boost exports, and enhance the national economic framework.
According to Radio Pakistan, Sheikh underscored the global trend of emphasizing energy security and diversification. He stressed that Pakistan must align with this international focus to achieve sustainable economic growth and increase its Gross Domestic Product. The minister also referred to investment initiatives in the country, noting the existence of 44 Special Economic Zones aimed at fostering economic development.
