Islamabad: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has concluded its 9th Ministerial Conference on Women with the adoption of the Islamabad Ministerial Declaration. This declaration reaffirms the OIC’s collective commitment to advancing the rights, dignity, and empowerment of women across its member states.
According to Radio Pakistan, the conference was hosted by the Ministry of Human Rights in Islamabad and saw participation from ministers and senior representatives from OIC Member States. The objective of the gathering was to further the socio-economic and political empowerment of women. One of the significant outcomes of the conference was the transition of the Chairmanship of the OIC Ministerial Conference on Women from Egypt to Pakistan.
