Massive Fire Engulfs Houseboats in Srinagar’s Dal Lake

SRINAGAR, A significant fire engulfed at least five houseboats in the early hours of Saturday in Srinagar’s Dal Lake, causing extensive damage in the popular tourist destination of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, that the fire initially broke out in a houseboat near Ghat number 9 and rapidly spread to nearby boats. The inferno, which resulted in a considerable loss of property estimated to be several crores of rupees, severely damaged at least half a dozen houseboats.

Officials overseeing the incident have stated that the fire was eventually brought under control, and efforts are underway to determine the cause of the blaze. This incident has disrupted the serene ambiance of Dal Lake, a significant attraction for visitors to the region.
