JAMMU, A tragic incident occurred in Udhampur district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where a 45-year-old man lost his life and his son sustained critical injuries due to a lightning strike. Kashmir Media Service reports that Shallo Ram and his 28-year-old son, Rinku Kumar, were struck by lightning while en route to their shop amid rain on Friday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Officials confirmed that Shallo Ram died instantly at the scene, while Rinku Kumar suffered severe burn injuries. He was promptly transported to the Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur, where he is currently in a critical condition.
In a separate incident in the Narla area of Rajouri district, lightning struck cattle shed belonging to Mohammad Aslam, resulting in the death of at least 20 animals, including goats and sheep.
Additionally, a vehicle carrying Hindu pilgrims to the Vaishnoo Devi shrine met with an accident on the Katra-Jammu Road in Reasi district. The vehicle fell into a gorge, killing a minor boy and injuring three other pilgrims.
