Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Launches Ehsaas Youth Employment Scheme Offering Interest-Free Loans


Peshawar, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has unveiled a new initiative, the Ehsaas Manjabar Rozgar Scheme, aimed at bolstering youth empowerment across the province by providing interest-free loans for entrepreneurial ventures. This scheme, which targets young people interested in starting their own businesses, will offer loans ranging from one million to one crore PKR.



According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the announcement was made by Syed Fakhar Jahan, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs. The scheme will operate through the Bank of Khyber, with specific branches designated to manage these loans. A recent meeting chaired by Mashir Khel included key figures such as Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Matiullah, Director Youth Affairs Dr. Noman Mujahid, and Asad Kaka Khel, Head of Microfinance at the Bank of Khyber, where detailed discussions about the project’s scope and implementation were held.



The scheme also sets aside a five percent quota for minorities, individuals with disabilities, and students from Madrasahs, ensuring inclusive access to its benefits. Advisor Jahan highlighted that this initiative is in line with Imran Khan’s vision and Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur’s strategy for creating dignified employment opportunities, aiming to foster self-reliance among the youth of the province.
