Islamabad: H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, the outgoing Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, concluded his service with a farewell meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House today. The meeting marked the end of Ambassador Kistafin’s tenure and underscored the strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting was attended by key dignitaries including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch. The Prime Minister commended the Kazakh Ambassador for his contributions in bolstering the diplomatic relationship between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Prime Minister Sharif particularly highlighted the Ambassador’s efforts in facilitating the visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan earlier this year, which resulted in the elevation of the bilateral relationship to a Strategic Partnership.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif extended warm regards to President Tokayev and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its partnership with Kazakhstan. Emphasis was laid on regional connectivity, trade, and collaborations in energy, education, and cultural exchanges.

Ambassador Kistafin expressed gratitude for the support received during his tenure and conveyed optimism for the continued growth of Kazakhstan-Pakistan relations under the existing strategic framework. Prime Minister Sharif wished him success in his forthcoming endeavors.
