KARACHI: Spokesperson for the Mayor of Karachi, Karamullah Waqasi, announced that infrastructure development projects are proceeding swiftly across the city, under the directives of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab. Measures are being taken to safeguard public infrastructure from damage and theft.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab has addressed the issue of steel bar theft from the Nazimabad Underpass, instructing the Engineering Department to expedite restoration work. Emphasizing zero tolerance for damage to public resources, Waqasi stated that law enforcement agencies would be involved in safeguarding city flyovers and underpasses from vandalism.

Waqasi highlighted the ongoing repair and rehabilitation of major roads, noting the recent completion of work on Abu Al-Hasan Isphahani Road, which aims to enhance travel conditions for citizens. He also mentioned actions against unauthorized promotional materials in public spaces, with municipal teams actively removing illegal advertisements.

Efforts to improve Karachi’s infrastructure and aesthetics are being prioritized, with municipal institutions committed to protecting public resources and enhancing the city’s organization and safety.
