Islamabad: A delegation of District and Sessions Judges from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, led by the Registrar of the Peshawar High Court, visited the Supreme Court of Pakistan to study its Public Facilitation Centre. The visit aimed to explore the replication of citizen-centric reforms within their region’s judicial system.
According to Press Information Department, the delegation met with the Chief Justice of Pakistan to discuss judicial reforms and modernization of court services. They were briefed on the Public Facilitation Centre’s services, which include case filing guidance, digital information kiosks, and e-filing assistance, designed to improve accessibility and efficiency in judicial service delivery.
The Chief Justice emphasized the need for judicial institutions to adopt technology-enabled solutions to enhance service delivery and public confidence in the justice system. The visiting delegation expressed interest in implementing similar models in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and discussed the exchange of best practices to improve public facilitation.
The Chief Justice expressed optimism that such collaborations would enhance service delivery standards and create a more responsive and accessible justice system.
