Jordanian Ambassador and Pakistani Defence Minister Discuss Bilateral Defence Cooperation in Rawalpindi


Rawalpindi, H.E. Dr. Maen Khreasat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Jordan, met with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Lt Gen (Retd) Anwar Ali Hyder, at the Ministry of Defence to discuss opportunities for bilateral defence cooperation. The meeting emphasized the strengthening of defence relations between the two countries, particularly in areas such as military training, security, and the defence industry.



According to Press Information Department, the Defence Minister welcomed the Jordanian Ambassador and expressed appreciation for the strong brotherly relations between Jordan and Pakistan. The discussion focused on the scope of cooperation in the defence industry, with an emphasis on co-production and sharing expertise in defence technology. Both parties recognized the significant potential for collaboration, especially in sharing research and development (RandD) resources.



The meeting highlighted that there are substantial opportunities for bilateral cooperation across various domains of defence, including military training, security, and the defence industry. The discussion between the Ambassador of Jordan and Pakistan’s Defence Minister underscores the commitment of both nations to explore and enhance their defence collaboration, potentially leading to increased bilateral engagement in these critical areas.
