ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has intensified its efforts to enforce traffic regulations by targeting vehicles with tinted windows, resulting in over 450 vehicles being penalized in the past month. The crackdown is part of a broader initiative directed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at curbing traffic violations.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, special teams have been deployed at major roads and intersections throughout the federal capital to ensure compliance with traffic laws. This initiative operates under a zero-tolerance policy, focusing on enhancing road safety and preventing accidents through stricter enforcement measures against tinted windows and other violations.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan, highlighted the risks associated with traffic law violations, noting their potential to cause serious accidents. She stressed the importance of cooperation between citizens and the traffic police to foster a safe, organized, and efficient traffic system. Khan urged citizens to adhere to traffic regulations to protect their own lives and those of other road users.

Khan further stated the commitment of the Islamabad Traffic Police to utilize all available resources to ensure fair enforcement of traffic laws and to provide a secure traveling environment while maintaining smooth traffic flow within the city.
