Islamabad Police Arrests 25 Suspected Criminals, Seizes Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 25 individuals suspected of various offenses, while recovering a substantial quantity of drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, a series of operations led to the arrest of 19 individuals involved in criminal activities. The police confiscated 589 grams of Ice, 515 grams of heroin, 1,061 liters of liquor, eight pistols, ammunition, and one dagger from their possession.



Cases have been filed against those apprehended, and investigations are ongoing. Additionally, as part of a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, six more individuals were detained by various police teams. The operations are part of an initiative directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at maintaining peace and security in the federal capital.



SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized the commitment of the police force to protect the lives and property of residents, ensuring that no elements disrupt public peace. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to bolster cooperation between the police and the public in eradicating crime.
