Islamabad Police Arrest 16 Outlaws, Seize Drugs, Liquor, and Weapons


Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police have arrested 16 outlaws in various areas of the city over the past 24 hours, seizing a significant quantity of drugs, liquor, and weapons. The operation is part of an intensified crackdown against criminal elements to eradicate crime in the city.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made under the directives of the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The police teams from different stations conducted targeted operations, leading to these arrests. For instance, the Aabpara police apprehended Naveel Masih with 10 liters of alcohol, and the Secretariat police seized 1130 grams of hashish from Sajid Masih. Another individual, Noman, was arrested for illegally refilling gas cylinders.



In similar operations, the Kohsar police arrested Hassan with 15 liters of alcohol, and Muhammad Faheem was caught by the Shalimar police with 124 grams of ice. The Ramna police detained Muhammad Saqib, Ehsan, and Habit Khan, finding 72 wine bottles and 180 beer tins in their possession. The Tarnol police apprehended Usman Majeed with 1050 grams of heroin, and Abu Bakar was caught by the Sangjani police with a 30 bore pistol. The Khanna police arrested Kashif Yaseen and Ishtiaq Ahmed, seizing 243 grams of heroin.



Moreover, the Shahzad Town, Industrial Area, Shams Colony, and Noon police teams made additional arrests, recovering pistols and large quantities of alcohol and hashish. A female suspect, Razia Zafar, was also arrested with 1175 grams of hashish.



Cases have been registered against all the apprehended individuals, and further investigations are underway. ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has instructed police officials to intensify the crackdown against criminal activities, emphasizing that the safety and security of citizens are the top priorities, and no leniency will be tolerated in maintaining law and order.
