Interior Minister Calls for National Support of Cricket Team in World Cup Quest


London, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called for unwavering national support for Pakistan’s cricket team during a reception at Pakistan House, emphasizing the team’s readiness to win the World Cup in America. The event, hosted by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, celebrated the cricket team’s prospects and rallied community support.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Naqvi highlighted the importance of solidarity and support from the entire nation, regardless of the team’s win-loss record, underscoring his confidence in the team’s capabilities. He assured that with strong national backing, the players are set to excel and potentially bring the World Cup home.



The reception was attended by prominent figures including London Mayor Sadiq Khan, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott, former Prime Minister Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar, and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, among numerous British Pakistanis.
