Karachi, Caretaker Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs, Murtaza Solangi, has highlighted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s unwavering commitment to the rule of law. In a recent interview with a private TV channel, Solangi discussed the impact of Jinnah’s legal and political legacy on contemporary governance and politics in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Solangi provided insights into governance and legal affairs, particularly during the British colonial era when laws protecting citizens’ rights were largely inadequate. He pointed out that it was in these challenging circumstances that Quaid-e-Azam began his political career, strictly adhering to the existing legal frameworks.

Reflecting on Quaid-e-Azam’s political journey, the Minister emphasized his dedication to the rule of law as a model for today’s politicians. He underscored the importance of pursuing political objectives within legal boundaries and the significance of peaceful struggles for legislative reforms.

Solangi also commented on recent incidents involving the confiscation of nomination papers from candidates, noting that the Election Commission of Pakistan is aware of these events and stressing the need for a tranquil electoral process. He affirmed the Commission’s authority and ability to address any irregularities.

Addressing internal communication dynamics within the government, particularly between the Prime Minister’s Office and the Establishment Secretary, Solangi described it as a standard operational procedure. In his closing remarks, he expressed confidence in national institutions and urged a focus on resolving key national issues.

Solangi quoted the Constitution of Pakistan, emphasizing that elected representatives are responsible for leading the country. He called for urgent attention to national priorities and stressed the collective responsibility of citizens in contributing to the nation’s development and prosperity.
