SRINAGAR, In ongoing acts of state involvement, Indian troops took the lives of 17 Kashmiris, including a woman and a child, in the past month in the Indian-occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, of the 17 deceased, 11 were reported to have lost their lives during fabricated encounters or while in custody, caused by Indian troops and police across different districts in the region.
These acts resulted in the loss of partners for two women and left ten children without parents. Reports also indicate that during this time frame, personnel from the Indian Army, paramilitary, and police, including members from the National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency, arrested 78 individuals, injured 10, and razed 3 residential structures. These operations took place amidst 212 cordon and search activities in various parts of the territory.
