India Dismisses Government Employees in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: In a move that has raised concerns among local communities, the administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has dismissed five government employees. The dismissals were announced by the Kashmir Media Service and include individuals from various departments across the region.

The employees—Gulzar Ahmad Dar, Abdul Rashid Butt, Dilbag Singh, Gulzar Ahmed, and Noor Mohammad Sheikh—have been terminated on charges of involvement in narcotics trafficking. The accused employees have denied the allegations, maintaining their innocence in the matter.

The government order accompanying the dismissals stipulates that all five individuals are disqualified from securing any future employment within the public sector. This decision has sparked a wave of criticism, with many locals viewing it as part of a larger strategy to replace local employees with individuals supported by the RSS-BJP.

Community leaders and residents have expressed particular concern over the perceived targeting of Muslims and Sikhs in these dismissals. They argue that this pattern could be indicative of an effort to further consolidate control over the territory by displacing local government workers. The broader implications of these actions remain a topic of heated discussion and debate within the region.
