IGP Islamabad Emphasizes Merit-Based Recruitment in Police Force

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi convened a meeting at the Central Police Office to examine the recruitment process for the Islamabad Police, underscoring the need for transparency and meritocracy.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting included senior officials such as DIG Headquarters Muhammad Ateeque Tahir and DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, along with other key officers from the National Police Foundation. The focus was on ensuring that the recruitment process is conducted with integrity and professionalism, aligning with the standards set by the Prime Minister and the Federal Interior Minister.

Rizvi highlighted the importance of recruiting qualified individuals to transform the Islamabad Police into a modern and efficient force. He stressed that any form of favoritism or unlawful influence would not be tolerated during the process. The recruitment drive aims to fill numerous positions, including 223 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 1,334 Constables, and various ministerial staff roles, to enhance the operational capacity of the police force.
