Islamabad Police Arrests 23 Accused, Recovers Drugs and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: In a significant operation against criminal activities, Islamabad Police arrested 23 individuals and recovered drugs and weapons, according to a press release from Islamabad Capital Police. The arrests were part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order in the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, eight individuals were apprehended for various criminal activities, with police teams recovering 583 grams of Ice, five bottles of liquor, and four pistols with ammunition from their possession. Legal cases have been registered, and investigations are underway. In a related campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police successfully captured 15 additional criminals.

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed sustained efforts to combat crime, reflecting a commitment to ensuring public safety. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s dedication to protecting citizens and urged the public to report suspicious activities through local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
