Islamabad: The Education Testing Council of Pakistan has completed an aptitude test aimed at awarding 400 scholarships to female candidates from Balochistan. The initiative is designed to facilitate entry into four-year B.Ed./BS (Education) programs at top universities nationwide.
According to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, 3,147 female candidates registered for the test, organized in partnership with the School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, and the Project Management Unit, Balochistan Education Support Programme. To ensure accessibility and merit-based competition, test centers were set up in 14 cities, including Quetta, Uthal, Khuzdar, and others.
The test was conducted under uniform testing protocols and strict monitoring to ensure transparency and fairness. Secretary SED Balochistan, Mr. Lal Khan Jaffar, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the test during his visit to Quetta’s Expo Center.
Out of the registered candidates, 1,694 appeared for the test. ETC deployed 253 invigilation staff and 14 Monitoring Officers to maintain smooth operations. Despite operational and security challenges, the test’s successful execution underscores ETC’s commitment to transparency and merit in standardised testing, offering educational opportunities to the talented female students of Balochistan.
