ISLAMABAD, A delegation from the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GCCI) met with Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, at the Parliament House to discuss ways to boost economic development and trade in the region. The meeting provided a platform for GCCI officials to share insights on regional economic challenges and opportunities.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Senate expressed a strong commitment to supporting the chamber’s efforts in promoting economic growth in Gwadar. He showed keen interest in understanding the challenges faced by the business community and discussed various economic policies, infrastructure development, and strategies to enhance trade and investment in the Gwadar region.
Recognizing the crucial role of the business community in economic progress, Chairman Senate affirmed the Senate’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for sustainable economic growth. He also highlighted the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Port as key drivers of future economic initiatives in Pakistan, emphasizing their regional importance.
The GCCI delegation, led by its officials, expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s attention to Gwadar’s economic concerns and emphasized the need for government collaboration to attract investments and foster a business-friendly environment in the region. Senators Palwasha Muhammadzai Khan and Prince Ahmed Omer Ahmedzai also attended the meeting.
