Amritsar, November 22, 2021 (PPI-OT):A grenade blast took place at the Indian Army’s Triveni Gate in Indian state of Punjab where Sikhs are struggling for a separate homeland in the name of Khalistan. A grenade was hurled near the Indian Army station gate near Pathankot’s Dheerapul by unknown persons who came on a bike when a marriage procession was passing from the area.
The police force has been rushed to the spot where they are checking the CCTV footage. All police check-posts of Pathan Kot have been put on high alert. The grenade blast occurred near Triveni Gate of the Army camp in Pathan Kot, Punjab.
Further investigations are underway. SSP of Pathan Kot Surendra Lamba said, “The CCTV footage of the area will be probed.” It is worth mentioning here that the blast occurred at a time when the voting for fourth phase of Khalistan referendum was held in the UK on Sunday.
