ISLAMABAD: The government is intensifying its focus on youth employment initiatives and language accessibility in technology, Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima announced today. A specialized group is being established to craft Urdu equivalents for modern technology terminology, aiming to make technological language more accessible to the wider population.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima, speaking at an event, emphasized that many technology-related terms currently lack translations in Urdu. This initiative seeks to integrate these terms into the national language, promoting broader understanding and accessibility. Additionally, the government is advancing public digital infrastructure to facilitate seamless data interoperability.
The minister also highlighted the government’s commitment to productive youth employment. During Indus AI Week, the Prime Minister unveiled plans for a significant investment of one billion dollars in artificial intelligence (AI) and the training of one million individuals in AI skills, underscoring the government’s dedication to equipping the youth with relevant technological expertise.
