Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives of Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal, met with the German Ambassador to Pakistan, Ina Lepel, in Islamabad to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The discussions centered on education, tourism, cultural exchanges, economic reforms, and investment promotion, with both parties expressing a commitment to enhancing Pakistan-Germany relations.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Iqbal detailed Pakistan’s economic reform agenda to Ambassador Lepel, noting improvements in macroeconomic stability and investor confidence. He highlighted initiatives to modernize governance through digitalization and invited German collaboration in higher education and tourism, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan. The Minister also discussed plans for the upcoming 150th Birth Anniversary of poet-philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal and sought German involvement in related events. Ambassador Lepel acknowledged Pakistan’s reform efforts and emphasized Germany’s readiness to strengthen ties in education, sustainable development, and economic engagement.
