Pakistan Plays Key Role in Mediating Iran-U.S. Tensions, Says Deputy Prime Minister

Lahore: Pakistan has positioned itself as a significant peacemaker on the global stage following its successful mediation efforts between Iran and the United States, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar announced on Wednesday. He highlighted the country’s proactive stance in condemning the initial hostilities and its subsequent actions to mediate peace between the two nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dar emphasized the national pride in the respect Pakistan has garnered internationally due to its mediation efforts. He noted that Pakistan’s initiative has contributed to peace and stability in the region, reflecting the country’s commitment to resolving conflicts through dialogue.

Dar also addressed domestic issues, stating that the Prime Minister has implemented measures to rectify economic decisions made by the previous government. He expressed confidence that these steps have set Pakistan on a path toward development. Stressing Pakistan’s status as a responsible nuclear power, he asserted the intention to transform the country into an economic powerhouse.
