Finance Minister Aurangzeb Outlines Economic Reform Plans

Karachi: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has pledged to stabilize Pakistan’s economy through structural reforms and increased foreign investment. Speaking at a ceremony at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi, Aurangzeb emphasized the government’s focus on facilitating the private sector to drive economic growth.

According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb highlighted the government’s policies, which he claims have placed the economy on the right trajectory. He noted a rise in the number of taxpayers, with tax filers increasing to over 5.7 million from approximately 3.9 million in the previous year. The finance minister outlined initiatives aimed at attracting investment and expanding financial opportunities, including the Apna Ghar scheme, which has seen a disbursement of around 60 billion rupees.
