Federal Interior Minister Reviews Progress on National Police Academy Projects


Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected ongoing development and upgradation projects at the National Police Academy. He also evaluated the model rooms prepared for trainee officers.



According to Press Information Department, during a meeting chaired by the Interior Minister, the progress on the academy’s upgradation projects was reviewed. Naqvi directed the reconstruction of the conference room and auditorium, emphasizing the need to adhere to stipulated timelines and maintain high-quality standards.



Naqvi noted that the Minister of State for Interior is monitoring the upgradation projects daily. He instructed the provision of modern training equipment akin to that used by SWAT teams for trainee officers and called for engaging highly qualified faculty for the Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC).



It was decided during the meeting to propose the inclusion of modern modules on digital policing and artificial intelligence in the MCMC curriculum. Naqvi highlighted the importance of aligning police officer training with modern demands to enhance the police force’s quality and effectiveness.



The Commandant of the National Police Academy, members of the CDA, and relevant officials were present at the meeting.
