Islamabad, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has categorically dismissed claims made by the Rawalpindi Commissioner regarding the chief election commissioner’s directives to alter election outcomes.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ECP’s spokesperson emphasized that no orders were issued to the Rawalpindi Commissioner to modify any election results. The statement further elucidated that division commissioners do not have a direct role in the electoral process, nor do they serve as District Returning Officers (DROs), Returning Officers (ROs), or presiding officers. The commission has announced an investigation into these allegations to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
