Karachi: In response to directives from Pakistan’s Prime Minister and appeals from Karachi’s business community, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a PRAL Front Desk at the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) in Karachi. The office, which commenced operations on June 5, 2026, is led by the Chief of Inland Revenue Operations and features a specialized team from Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd. (PRAL).
According to Press Information Department, the newly established facility aims to provide technical support and resolve issues related to digital tax services such as IRIS, e-filing, registration, online tax payments, sales tax returns, and refunds. This initiative is part of FBR’s broader strategy to enhance taxpayer facilitation, improve service delivery, and promote voluntary compliance through advanced technology.
The creation of this dedicated office underscores the government’s commitment to fostering an efficient and transparent tax administration. By enhancing access to digital tax systems, the FBR seeks to offer the business community in Karachi a seamless experience in managing their tax-related matters.
