Islamabad, NWFC, in its recent press release on weather forecasts, indicates that continental air is predominantly influencing the weather over most regions of Pakistan.
On Wednesday, the majority of the country is predicted to experience dry conditions, with colder temperatures anticipated in the northern regions during the night-time and early morning hours. Nevertheless, sporadic rain-thunderstorm activity might be witnessed in central Balochistan. This trend of dry and cold conditions in the northern areas is expected to persist into Thursday as well.
Reflecting on the weather of the past 24 hours, there were episodes of rain-wind and thunderstorms in regions including Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Barkhan, and Gilgit-Baltistan. In contrast, other parts of the country maintained a dry spell.
As for specific rainfall figures in millimeters, notable measurements include Rawalakot in Kashmir with 31mm, Lower Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 30mm, and Murree in Punjab with 20mm. Barkhan in Balochistan recorded a rainfall of 10mm.
Concluding the weather insights, today’s lowest recorded minimum temperatures were observed in Leh and Kalam, both registering a chilly -02°C.
