DIG Law and Order Acts on Officer Grievances, Focuses on Welfare Improvements


ISLAMABAD: In a move aimed at addressing the grievances of police officers, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Law and Order/Training, Muhammad Atique Tahir, convened an orderly room to tackle both departmental and personal issues faced by officers in Islamabad. This initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, highlighting the department’s commitment to resolving matters promptly and efficiently.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the orderly room included participation from officers within the Law and Order/Training division. Officers presented various personal and official concerns to DIG Tahir, who instructed that inquiries into serious matters be revisited and emphasized the prioritization of remaining issues. The DIG also outlined ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing officer welfare, including improvements in housing, medical facilities, and educational standards.



DIG Tahir reassured officers of his open-door policy, encouraging them to bring forward any issues they encounter, with an emphasis on collective efforts for the city’s betterment. He reiterated that the primary goal of the orderly room was to address welfare, personal, and official issues of police officers as a matter of priority.
