ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has instructed relevant authorities to ensure coordinated and timely action for the effective implementation of development projects.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dar chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council in Islamabad, emphasizing that swift completion of these projects is essential for maintaining the momentum in the Government’s broader agenda of economic development and enhanced connectivity.
The meeting addressed a comprehensive agenda of development initiatives, which include the construction of the Khwazakhela-Besham Expressway, improvements in electricity distribution efficiency projects within LESCO, HESCO, and PESCO, the Tarbela 5th Extension Hydropower Project, the Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project, the Fulbright Scholarship Support Programme, and a range of water, connectivity, and infrastructure projects.
The ECNEC Committee also reviewed revised PC-Is and assessed progress and compliance regarding ongoing development projects, aiming to ensure their timely implementation and efficient use of development resources.
