ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has returned to Islamabad following his participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The visit was marked by significant diplomatic engagements and meetings aimed at advancing Pakistan’s positions on key international issues.
According to Radio Pakistan, during his visit, Deputy Prime Minister Dar accompanied the Prime Minister in high-level engagements and participated in a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from other nations. He also took part in meetings organized by the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and chaired the 27th Informal Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization Council of Ministers.
In addition to these engagements, Dar addressed high-level meetings on artificial intelligence and pandemic preparedness, where he emphasized the importance of these issues in the contemporary global landscape. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled positions on matters concerning Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir, stressing the need for dialogue and diplomacy to further regional peace and stability.
