London: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar is set to embark on a five-day official visit to the United Kingdom starting Monday. The visit aims to strengthen diplomatic ties and address pressing bilateral and international issues.

According to Radio Pakistan, during his stay, Senator Dar will hold talks with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Minister of State for Pakistan Stephen Doughty. The meetings will focus on enhancing cooperation between the two countries and discussing matters of mutual interest.

Senator Dar is also scheduled to meet with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization to address the situation of Pakistani crew members held by Somali pirates aboard the MT Honour 25 oil tanker. Engagements with Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, British parliamentarians, and representatives of the British-Pakistani community are also on the agenda.
