CRPF officer commits suicide in Jharkhand

Ranchi, An Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer committed suicide in Jharkhand state of India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the CRPF officer identified as Havildar Sanjay Kumar (38) shot himself dead with his service weapon on the 218 battalion headquarters premises in Gumla district of the state.

Gumla SP Harvindar Singh said that the deceased was a native of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh.

Kumar had a long conversation with his wife over phone in the morning. He died by suicide .“A medical board would conduct the autopsy in the presence of a magistrate,” SP Singh said.

Meanwhile, attackers set on fire 14 vehicles, machines engaged in construction work in Dantewada area of Chhattisgarh state in India.
