Congress IIOJK Leader Advocates for Unity Against BJP’s Policies

Jammu, Vikar Rasool Wani, the president of the Congress party in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has vocalized the necessity to counteract the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) rule and divisive policies as critical agendas in the upcoming elections.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Wani, during a party assembly in the Banihal area of the Ramban district, emphasized the importance of mobilizing party members to expose the BJP’s failures and divisive strategies to the electorate. He highlighted the urgency of fostering communal harmony and resisting any endeavors that foster division among communities.

Wani critiqued the BJP’s governance record, pointing out a series of unfulfilled promises and policies that neglected the essential needs of Jammu and Kashmir’s populace. He expressed concern over the deteriorating conditions under the BJP’s leadership, citing statehood revocation, employment rights, and land ownership issues as significant grievances among the local residents.

Furthermore, Wani attributed the increase in challenges such as property taxes, the establishment of toll plazas, the imposition of smart meters, and a spike in unemployment rates to the BJP’s administration, underlining the heightened hardships faced by the region’s people.

In his address, Wani accused the BJP of pursuing a sectarian agenda and called on Congress party workers to raise awareness and resist actions that threaten regional unity and peace.

The Congress IIOJK chief reaffirmed the party’s dedication to promoting solidarity and standing firm against divisive forces, with a clear focus on overcoming the BJP’s communal approach in the forthcoming electoral contests.
