COAS and Imam-e-Kaaba Condemn Oppression in Gaza and Kashmir, Express Solidarity

Islamabad, Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Humaid met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, in Rawalpindi today to discuss matters of mutual interest, including the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both dignitaries condemned the atrocities in Gaza and the oppression of Muslims in Kashmir, expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and Kashmir. The Army Chief welcomed Imam-e-Kaaba’s visit as a significant honor for Pakistan and highlighted the deep reverence Muslims worldwide have for Harmain Shraifain and its custodian. General Munir also emphasized the strong strategic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, underpinned by historic religious and cultural ties. Imam-e-Kaaba, on his part, emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace and brotherhood and called for the end of misconstrued interpretations of the faith. He concluded the meeting with prayers for peace, stability, and unity of the Ummah.
