Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has called for increased collaboration within the Muslim Ummah to address the challenges facing the Islamic world. This message was conveyed during a luncheon meeting in Islamabad with resident Ambassadors from various Muslim countries of the Middle East and North African (MENA) region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting saw the participation of Ambassadors from Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Prime Minister Kakar emphasized the importance Pakistan places on its fraternal ties with the Muslim world, particularly with the MENA region countries. He highlighted that these relationships are based on mutual trust, understanding, and cooperation on bilateral and regional issues of common interest.
During the discussions, the Prime Minister shared Pakistan’s perspectives on several critical issues, notably the human rights and humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. The meeting also addressed the broader challenges confronting the Muslim world, including the issue of Islamophobia.
The Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the Ambassadors in strengthening the ties between Islamabad and their respective capitals. In response, the Ambassadors expressed their gratitude and reiterated their commitment to advancing bilateral relations with Pakistan, acknowledging its significant role in the Muslim world.
This meeting underscores Pakistan’s active role in promoting unity and cooperation among Muslim nations and its commitment to addressing pressing issues affecting the Islamic community globally.
