ISLAMABAD, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has emphasized the need to boost the participation of minority groups in competitive examinations for civil services. During a meeting on the appointment of civil officers and the special quota system, the Prime Minister called for awareness campaigns to encourage more inclusive representation.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Kakar highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure equal development opportunities for all citizens, pointing out that the constitution and laws of the country provide for equal rights and opportunities for minorities and residents of underdeveloped areas. He also issued instructions to develop a clear policy for appointing competent officers to remote regions, including Balochistan, and to reinstate the rotation policy for civil officers in its original form, demanding strict adherence.
The meeting included a briefing on the Special Central Superior Services (CSS) examination that recently took place, which saw over fifteen thousand candidates, with over three thousand five hundred from Balochistan. The Prime Minister instructed that such examinations be conducted regularly to address the vacancies for minorities and underrepresented areas.
