Canadian Delegation Meets Chairman Senate in Islamabad to Discuss Investment and Tourism

Islamabad, A high-profile delegation from Canada, led by His Excellency Mohamed Eboo, the Resident Representative of His Highness Prince Agha Khan in Canada, met with Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, at Parliament House.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the delegation comprised prominent figures including Ali Allana, Director for the Agha Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED), Mr. Moez Rajwani, Mr. Samir Manji, Executive Officer, Council for Canada, Mr. Shakeel Hirji, Chairman of FOCUS – Canada, Mr. Taleeb Farouk Noormohamed, a Member of the Canadian Parliament, and Mr. Nizar Noor Mohammed Mewawalla, President of the Council for Pakistan.

The meeting focused on various areas of mutual interest, particularly investment, tourism, and sectoral collaboration. Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani appreciated the humanitarian work of AKFED and the employment generation initiatives through its investments. The discussion also highlighted the tourism and investment potential in Balochistan, especially in the emerging port city of Gwadar.

To demonstrate the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and collaboration, Chairman Senate hosted a luncheon for the Canadian delegation.
