Islamabad: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, highlighting the strong bilateral ties between the two nations. Ahmadov, accompanied by a high-level delegation, has engaged in discussions with Pakistani officials to enhance judicial and legal cooperation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Azerbaijani delegation’s itinerary includes visits to significant national and cultural sites. The group toured Lok Virsa in Islamabad, learning about Pakistan’s cultural heritage, and paid respects at the Pakistan Monument by laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Pakistan. Key discussions took place at the Supreme Court of Pakistan, where Ahmadov met with Chief Justice Yahya Afridi to explore institutional collaborations and legal reforms.
The delegation also visited the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan to further discuss judicial systems and cooperation. Their visit to the National Assembly of Pakistan included observing a session and receiving a briefing on the country’s constitutional and parliamentary history. The visit underscores the commitment of both nations to bolster their legal and judicial partnership.
