Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has renewed its call for the United Nations to dispatch a team to Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The request aims to facilitate monitoring of alleged violations of international laws and civil rights by Indian authorities in the region.
In a statement released by the Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas highlighted the ongoing turmoil in the Kashmir Valley. He accused the Indian Home Ministry, along with the Indian army and police, of causing widespread disruption under what he described as “black laws.”
The statement further emphasized the resilience of incarcerated Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders and activists, who are portrayed as symbols of courage against Indian control. It warned that the sacrifices of those who have lost their lives in the freedom struggle would serve as a haunting reminder to those who betray the cause for Kashmir’s autonomy.
