AlUla: The AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies has commenced in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, drawing finance ministers, central bank governors, policymakers, and economic experts from around the globe. The two-day event aims to address challenges and opportunities faced by emerging markets in the current global economic climate.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pakistan’s Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb is attending the conference on a special invitation from his Saudi counterpart, Mohammed Al-Jadaan. Senator Aurangzeb is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion titled ‘Navigating the Path for Resilient Emerging Markets.’ The session, moderated by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, will also feature finance ministers from Egypt, Brazil, and Türkiye.
Organized jointly by the International Monetary Fund and the Saudi Ministry of Finance, the conference seeks to promote dialogue on strategies for achieving economic resilience and sustainable growth amid ongoing global uncertainties.
The event has attracted 200 participants and 36 speakers, with representatives from 48 countries in attendance, reflecting its significance as a platform for international economic discourse.
