Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved a series of financial measures totaling 11.6 billion rupees, including a significant allocation for educational and diplomatic purposes. Among the approved measures, the ECC has allocated five billion rupees to establish a seed fund for the Daanish Schools Authority and earmarked 6.6 billion rupees for the procurement of bullet-proof vehicles for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in 2027.
According to Radio Pakistan, the ECC’s decision to fund the Daanish Schools Authority aims to support educational initiatives, while the acquisition of bullet-proof vehicles is intended to ensure the safety of Heads of State attending the SCO Summit hosted by Pakistan. Additionally, the committee approved recommendations for the export of donkey meat and hides from the Gwadar Free Zone, with stipulations for necessary safeguards. The ECC also sanctioned the continuation of gas supply to Fatima Fertilizer and Agritech Limited until the end of this month under the existing terms.
