KARACHI: Karamullah Waqasi, Spokesperson to the Mayor of Karachi and Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan People’s Party in the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, emphasized the importance of community centers and halls in fostering social progress, highlighting their role as essential civic facilities. According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Waqasi’s comments followed the inauguration of the Fawaz Waqasi Memorial Community Hall in Upper Gizri, a facility aimed at enhancing social activities and community cohesion.
During the ceremony held on September 6, 2026, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab officiated as the chief guest. The event saw participation from Adviser on Katchi Abadis Syed Najmi Alam, Lyari Town Chairman Khalil Hot, and prominent Pakistan People’s Party figures, alongside local residents.
