Islamabad, April 26, 2023 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has condemned the untoward incident with families and citizens shopping for Eid-ul-Fitr at Jinnah Super Goal Market on Moon night. He said Additional Secretary National Assembly Syed He has taken notice of the incident of misbehavior and brutal violence with the family of Shamoon Hashmi and other families.

He has expressed solidarity with the family of Additional Secretary National Assembly Syed Shamoon Hashmi and other affected families. He asked the IG Islamabad. Calling for a report of the incident, it has been directed to conduct a transparent investigation of the incident and punish the accused as per the law.

The Speaker of the National Assembly said that those who torture and misbehave with families and citizens on Chand Raat should be severely punished. Bullying of families and citizens by shopkeepers is very sad. And mistreatment of families is against a civilized society. Harassment and heinous violence against peaceful citizens and families on Eid shopping is sad.

This should not have happened to families. Protecting the rights of respectable citizens is the prime responsibility of the government. Those who misbehave with citizens. Actions should be taken according to law. Law enforcement agencies should ensure the safety of citizens. Those who misbehave with citizens and take the law into their hands do not deserve any exemption.
