ISLAMABAD: Superintendent of Police Saddar Zone Khalid Mehmood Awan has called for swift and decisive action against criminal elements and proclaimed offenders in the Industrial Area Zone of Islamabad, following a critical meeting with police officers aimed at enhancing crime prevention measures.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, which was attended by Station House Officers (SHOs), Muharrars, and investigation officers from the Industrial Area and Sabzi Mandi Police Stations, focused on reviewing the current crime situation, the progress of ongoing investigations, and the strategies for addressing criminal activities.
SP Awan instructed the officers to intensify their efforts in preventing crime and taking robust actions against offenders. He highlighted the importance of merit-based investigations and urged officers to expedite pending cases to their logical conclusions. He also emphasized the need for strict actions against the illegal possession and display of weapons, as well as aerial firing, as part of the “Say No to Weapon” campaign.
Further directives were issued to apprehend individuals with previous criminal records, proclaimed offenders, and wanted suspects. The SP stressed the importance of ensuring timely justice and addressing the grievances of citizens efficiently, reiterating that safeguarding lives and property, alongside effective policing, remain prioritized objectives for the Islamabad Police.
